Thirty years ago, Apple introduced the Macintosh in a dramatic fashion just as the company has changed the world of technology since. The advertisement introducing the Macintosh during the 1984 Super Bowl left the advertising world in awe and the world curious to learn more about this new machine.
The Apple brand is the world’s most valuable brand and worth $104.3 billion which is 20% up from last year (according to Forbes World’s Most Valuable Brands). With such an incredible worldwide presence it is hard to believe that the brand was only introduced a mere 30 years ago. An even more unbelievable fun fact is that Apple is worth nearly twice as much as any other brand in the world trumping Microsoft at #2 (Forbes).
It’s easy to believe that Apple is the most valuable brand in the world seeing as you can’t leave your house without seeing an iPhone, MacBook Pro or iPad these days, as well as many (including myself) owning all three products. The easy-to-use interface has been a selling point for Apple products since the very first Mac released in 1984 and shows true today.
The Apple brand is aligned with the trendy, hip and young technology users and remain the “it” product for new generations. Through the last 30 years Apple has changed the world of technology, fashion, music, art, advertising, among many other fields by demanding excellence in all aspects of their products.
